Hello and welcome to Canimate.

Canimate is the virtual home of artwork by Camila Sitarama Carlow, and the also the home of her series of work ‘Eye Heart Spleen’.  Here on this site you can find illustration work and random delights that pop out from Camila’s head, and into the world via her pen or camera.

Camila is a Guatemalan-born artist based in Bristol, England.  She works in a range of mediums, from fine art painting and photography, and as a cinematographer for video production.  Her artwork has been exhibited at the Grant Bradley Gallery in Bristol, stocked in Paper Scissors Stone, Made in Bristol’s pop up shop.  Her animations have screened in Glastonbury Festival, and at the Roxy Bar in London.  Short film productions she has been involved with have been selected in numerous film Festivals around the country, including Encounters International Short Film Festival at the Watershed in Bristol,  Newport International Film festival, and BFI Future Film Festival in London.  She currently spends her time marketing her artwork and freelancing as a photographer and cinematographer for short film productions and corporate video productions.
